Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is located in the area formerly used as the Nursery. 

Opens 7:15am to 8:25am

Breakfast is served between 7:15am to 8:05am

Bishop Challoner is a nut free School.

We aim to provide an emotionally and physically safe environment for children; an environment where children feel comfortable, where their self-confidence, sense of responsibility, and an awareness of others can grow in a positive direction.

Because it is important that they are alert and calm at the start of the school day, children are provided with healthy options for breakfast; low sugar/low additive cereals, wholemeal toast, pancakes, spreads, fruit, fruit juice, fromage frais and Baby Bel. Water and milk is always available. 

While eating, children are encouraged to chat quietly, calmly, and politely.

After breakfast, children can choose from a wide range of activities and are encouraged to play independently, imaginatively and fairly. There are a variety of independent and adult lead craft activities planned throughout the year.

At the end of a session, children from Nursery to year 2 are delivered to their class teachers. Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 make their way to their class lines without supervision.

SESSION BOOKING

Payment in advance bookings

Fully completed booking forms are required at the start of the term. Any changes during the term will require a revised booking form.

Ad Hoc/Emergency bookings

Submit the booking form, either hard copy or emailed details, at least 24 hours before the session required but no later than the end of the school day especially if the school holds medication for your child.

Please note that the Breakfast Club and Crèche prices have increased proportionately from the summer term 2024.

After School Club

After School Club is located in the area formerly used as the Nursery. 

Opens 15:15 (3:15pm) to 18:00 (6pm) every day. 

Any children remaining at After School Club after 6pm will be transferred to the Main School reception for collection

Snack must be provided by you the parents.

Bishop Challoner is a nut free School.

The onsite After School Club runs from 3.15pm till 6pm for children in Nursery to Year 4. We offer a safe and secure environment where children can relax and play under the supervision of qualified staff. We provide adult directed activities, e.g. craft, cooking and games alongside child-led free play. The children may choose from the various accessible, age appropriate resources and are encouraged to engage socially with children from other year groups therefore strengthening relationships within the school community.

Homework Club - Juniors

At the end of the school day, pupils in Years 5 and Year 6 may opt to join Homework Club in the Library. These supervised sessions allow pupils to complete homework tasks in a quiet setting.

Homework Club - Seniors

Senior pupils are offered a homework club in the computer suite daily from 3.45 until 5.00pm. Pupils can use this provision to support their learning.
