GCSE SUCCESS FOR BISHOP CHALLONER PUPILS

Bishop Challoner School pupils celebrated a highly impressive set of grades in their GCSEs. This is a wonderful achievement for the cohort, particularly when you consider the effect of the pandemic on these pupils in their first year of Senior school and the impact this had.

Individual successes were achieved by Oscar D and Jacob T with seven grades at 8/9 level, Sarvagya J with six grades at 8/9 level and Sjoukje W-S who had seven grades 7-9. Deseree M was rewarded with nine grades 7-8

There were particularly excellent results across the Science and Languages Departments.

Headteacher, Mark Wallace, commented:

'Following on from our impressive A-Level results last week, I am equally delighted for our Year 11 cohort with their GCSE results. They have worked hard and thoroughly deserve all the success and praise that has come their way today.

Their results are testament to their commitment and dedication to their studies and I am delighted that their hard work has been rewarded. Everyone at Bishop Challoner School would like to thank them all for their outstanding contribution to the school over their time with us, both inside and outside the classroom.

I am so pleased that the strength of these grades has opened up exciting opportunities for all the pupils, with many continuing their educational pathways with us at Bishop Challoner into the Sixth Form while others move to excellent Grammar Schools and Performance Arts Schools. For those who will be leaving us, we wish them every success for the future as they go onto their next destinations. I would also like to thank our pupils' parents and the school's staff for their support in achieving these results.'

Bishop Challoner is delighted to welcome prospective parents on Saturday 21st September 2024 for a whole school open morning. Please register your interest by contacting Ms Lauren Forde, Marketing and Communications Executive at lforde@bcsweb.co.uk
